For over 30 years (1955–1984), Holy Land USA in Waterbury, Connecticut, was one of the most unique and memorable roadside attractions in the Northeast. Built on a rocky hillside overlooking the city, this biblical-themed park featured life-sized replicas of Holy Land scenes, a replica of the Garden of Eden, a giant cross that lit up at night, caves, a manger, and walking paths that told the story of the Bible. It was a labor of love by local attorney John Greco and became a beloved destination for school groups, church outings, and families looking for something different during summer road trips.
